#savethecup

It has been a quintessential symbol of New York City, as much a part of the city's culture as the Chrysler building, the yellow cab and the bagel.  It seems to have been here forever, as if bestowed by the gods at the city’s creation.

The blue and white, Greek-theme paper cup has been a staple in the city for over half a century.  If you’ve watched any movies or TV shows set in New York City during the past 50 years, you’ve probably seen characters drinking coffee from the iconic cup, announcing "WE ARE HAPPY TO SERVE YOU."

Although it no longer dominates the urban landscape as it once did, we have made it our mission to keep New Yorkers cradling the original cup, with its crisp design and snug white lid, the stuff of life inside.
